Going france with criminal record

Hi. as I am traveling to new York via Paris from Glasgow. And have a criminal record and have a visa for my planned trip to America. But wasn't sure if it would be ok to travel into france with a criminal record for a flight to new york

Eddy, I am assuming you are a UK citizen.
As long as the UK is still in the EU, then they can't refuse you admission, EU "Freedom of movement". And, since you are just turning up at French immigration with your passport (no prior registration needed for EU citizens), there is no way they can check your record. There is no database that records movements of EU citizens within, in or out of the EU, no records are kept.

On thing surprises me, Glasgow to New York via Paris is the long way around. Are you spending time in Paris? If you are just changing planes in Paris, and not leaving the airport, you will stay "airside" "in transit" and never go through French passport control.
