Giverny worth a visit in October?

Will Giverny be worth a visit in either early October (2nd - 5th) or mid-October (15th - 16th)? Some of my travel group want to see it, but I"m not sure if it will still be in bloom that late in the year, especially given how warm it's been so far this year.

Anyone visited in October before?

Thank you so much, JKH. I wasn't aware there was a blooming calendar for Giverny. This is very helpful. Cheers!

My first time to Giverny was the first week of October. Wasn't busy and flowers were in bloom. I was able to get many pics around the pond w/no people in them, including the small bridge.

Enjoy your trip.

@Adrienne, You are most welcome.

Does your group have lots of Monet fans? You can continue on to Rouen and see the Cathedral, though I don't know how badly it was damaged by a recent fire. Or, on a future trip to France I plan to journey to Etretat and visit where he painted some of his most striking works.

We were there in early October a couple of years ago, and I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of plants still in flower. Having lower crowds and more pleasant weather than high summer were added bonuses.

We were there last year on October 31, the last day it was open. Our previous visit had been years ago in May. It was pretty ratty in comparison -- overgrown and such, but the area around the pond was still beautiful and there were lots of flowers and the house was much less crowded. It is not the peak time for flowers, but it is still nice -- they keep it up all year until they close during the months when it would not be showy. Quite a few late autumn flowers still in bloom. And colorful leaves around the pond.

Thanks, everyone! This is helpful. Sounds like it should still be a pleasant visit. I'm definitely a fan of October weather over summer weather, so for me, the time of year we'll be visiting is a bonus.

My first visit was in mid October and it was beautiful and not overly crowded. My second visit was in June. The gardens were gorgeous, but it was so crowded. I enjoyed both visits, but preferred ot in October.
