Has anyone been to Giverny/Monet the first week of October? Have the flowers passed their peak or is it still colorful and worth the day trip from Paris?

I have been there in October and while many of the flowers were somewhat past their peak, there were plenty of them, especially fall flowers like dahlias and zinnias. The garden is well maintained, so looks nice. The best thing was the pond where the fall light was just right for getting some great pictures. I would say it is well worth your time to make the trip - added bonus, it shouldn't be really crowded.
