I am traveling with a group of 4 to Paris in Late October for 7 full days ( not counting arrival and departure days). Do you think Giverny would be worth it in October? Or by that point would most things be shifting towards dead? Thanks!
We were there Oct 31, the last day the park was open last fall. We had visited years ago in May. While the flowers were not as pristine as spring -- even at the end it was beautiful and the pond was beautiful with colored leaves as well as fall flowers. The house was much less crowded; we had actually not done the house years ago because it was so crowded.
So I think it is worth it although there are times of the year, particularly April-June when the flowers are in greater profusion and the park more dazzling. The pond is just lovely any time. Fewer people posing for pictures on the bridges since the wisteria is long gone by then.
