Giverny Day Trip Today - Can We Take Later Train Than We Booked

We planned a day trip today to Paris but were out unexpectedly late last night and will miss the early train we booked via SNCF out of Gare St Lazare at 8:15ish. Can we hop on a later one (10:15) with the same ticket? And same question for the way back (would hope on slightly later train back and stay less time - looks like the last one leaves Vernon at 2:45). (There is no exchange/rebook option for this ticket within the app.). Thanks!
Update: found this page of the SNCF site that seems to confirm we can take a later train? But not sure if that's true if we have a nonrefundable ticket? https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/ter/fares

It depends on the conditions placed on the ticket you purchased. If it is a non-refundable or non-changeable ticket— then you will have to buy a new ticket.

If it’s a “Billet Tempo Paris” ticket, then it is non-exchangeable and became non-refundable today ( Saturday) because today is the day prior to the train’s scheduled departure time on Sunday.

It's not a Billet Tempo ticket. It's a train ticket for today and we just want to take a later train on the same day it's booked for (today). It is marked as non-exchangeable but per this website it doesn't seem like that matters? (the website implies we can just take a later train?) https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/ter/fares

The SNCF ticketing desk at Gare St. Lazare will be able to tell you when you’re there to depart for Vernon/ Giverny.

There are later trains back at 1649, 1752, 1849, 2048 and 2151 so whether you use the existing ticket or a new one there are later options for your return.

They all seem to be TER trains, rather than NOMAD's (where you need a seat reservation) and SNCF Connect is saying that all trains on the route are running with extra train cars due to the Olympics.

Worst case a new ticket will only cost 17.20 Euro each way. If you have paid that much the ticket should be able to be used on any train. If you've paid less, like 9 Euro each way then it is train specific.

But the station staff will confirm that.

Like Bets, i am seeing this too late for you. But the answer is yes, you can take a later train for this type of train (TER) without penalty. (For anyone reading this, that does not apply for a TGV train).

Basically , this ticket only becomes “used” when you use it to beep in through the turnstiles at Gare St Lazare. Until that time you can use it for any train on that route on that day.

Thank you all - and, yes, we were able to use it no problem on later trains that day even though it was marked as nonrefundable/nonexchangeable
