The TGV looks convenient but I have discovered that the airport station is not really at the airport. Will we have any trouble getting from that station to the airport? Bus? Taxi? It will be on Friday morning July 25 and the plane leaves at 11:20.

There is a regional, slow train from Avignon Centre, the train station just outside the city walls, that stops near the Marseille Provence airport. No reservations. A five-minute shuttle ride connects to the airport terminal. Or the TGV service from the high-speed train station outside Avignon whisks you to the Aix TGV and there is a shuttle bus from there to the airport. It is shown on the SNCF site as taking about a half hour. Sorry, as I am typing this the SNCF site is partially out-of-order (mon Dieu!) so I can't give you the exact links.

The shuttle bus from the Aix-en-provence TGV station to the airport goes every half hour and only takes 10 minutes. I'm happy.
Short TGV train ride from Avignon to Aix (20 minutes). Short bus ride to the airport (10 minutes). I thought it was going to be more complicated.
