We are flying into the Europort Airport (Basel-Mulhouse) - does anyone have advice on the best transportation options to get to Colmar. This is a new area of France for us and not an airport we have flown into previously.

We are leaving from Colmar and going to the Europort Basel-Mulhouse in late September. I had the same concern, so I emailed our Airbnb landlord. She suggested that it really depends on the price that you want to pay. The train bus combo is quite convenient to get from the airport and with the train you have no risk to be stuck in the middle of a traffic jam on the highway. There is a also a direct Flixbus from Colmar (stop at the train station) to Basel Airport. See on flixbus (.) fr. A taxi company of Colmar can drive you to the airport but it is better to book in advance. I'm not sure if they will pick you up at the airport and drive you to Colmar, but you can email them. She recommends a taxi company, Absolu Taxi Services. Their website is www. ats-colmar (.) fr
You can book by email, they speak English. We are going to be there in late September. We are going to arrange a taxi. I've emailed Absolu Taxi Services. They said to book around the middle of August. Hope this helps.

The Distribus to St Louis railway station is only 2.50 EUR, goes every 15 minutes, and only takes about 10 minutes. http://www.distribus.com/uploads/ligne11.pdf
From St Louis station, there are trains to Colmar every hour at half past the hour and take 35 minutes. Normal fare is 13.10 EUR per person, and 9.90 EUR if you are over 60 at most times.
