Getting to CDG from Paris for 7:00 am flight

Hello,
I'm flying from Paris to Zurich at 7:00 am next Monday (Sept 25th) and the earliest I get can to Terminal 1 by Metro is 6:00. Any suggestions on how to get to the airport by 5:30 without spending a fortune? Or should I be aiming to get there by 5 am?

Many thanks!
Pete

The first question that pops up in my mind is why are you flying from Paris to Zürich? The train is faster, cheaper and more comfortable.

That explains it, and sounds more reasonable. But arriving 6 would be cutting it too close in my opinion.

Well, I suppose "a fortune" is all relative.

If you are staying in Paris proper, a taxi will be a fixed-rate of either 55€ or 62€ (depending on whether you are staying on Left or Right Bank), plus 4€ or 7€ fee for reserving ahead of time.

I think a taxi is your only bet. I wouldn’t take the metro or RER

Another option is to move to a hotel near the airport the night before. If I have a flight that early, that’s what I do because otherwise I don’t sleep.😂

I too with an early flight spend the night at the Novotel AT the airport where I just have to stumble out the door to the CDGVAL and ride to the terminal. Have dinner in Paris, pick up your luggage at the hotel and head for the airport. And that way you can use the train for 11.45.

I'm with those who vote for an airport hotel. I don't leave anything to chance with an early morning flight, and being able to sleep within steps of the airport is just a no-brainer for a 7 am flight.

I'd go cheaper than Novotel for the one night and book Ibis.

I stayed at an airport hotel when I had an early flight. I felt better just walking a very short walk to the terminal instead of stressing over getting to the airport on time.

G7 Taxi, you can order the day before from their App or call & speak with an English speaking Operator if need be. With the App, it's all paid for.

Good luck.

Thank you everybody. I've booked a room in the Novotel. Excellent advice!

My Parents and I booked an overnight on Hotwire for $85 at Novotel Suites by Orly and $103 at Zenzitude Hotel by CDG for our early flight.

You may consider using the $55-$60 on a taxi towards a hotel room and even pay for breakfast and take the RER or Air Bus fo CDG. You can find one with a shuttle .

Do you want an earlier wakeup? I would prefer the later wakeup.

Another option is to see if you can switch your flight to a later one say 12 noon. It may not be that much to do so.
