We will arrive at the Marseille Provence Airport in early October about 1pm. My research says to go to bus dock #5 as we leave the airport and take a shuttle bus to Vitrolles Aeroport Gare. At the gare, we would buy our tickets and take a TER to Arles.
Does this make sense? I hate to arrange private transportation, then need to cancel/rearrange if our plane gets delayed.
Yes, this is the correct way! Unsure about the doc number at the airport bus station but signage should be very clear!
According to the airport website, that’s exactly what you should do. Buses run every 20 minutes. Here’s a link to the MRS Airport web site.
Thank you! Do you think we can get our train tickets right before boarding too? We traveled many times on the trains from Naples to Sorrento and we just bought our tickets a few minutes before boarding this train. I am worrying about buying the tickets in advance then having plane delays causing us to miss our train.

TER train tickets are good for any train on the date so you do not have to worry about losing the money you spent on your ticket if your flight is delayed. The tickets have a set price so there is no financial benefit to buying the early. I buy ahead because I am that person.😉
