I am arriving in Paris at 11:00. I have a private driver who will also give us a tour, possibly 3 to 4 hours. I need to be in Rouen the next day to pick up a car rental. Will I be able to take a train yet the day of arrival? Or do I p
Need to go the next morning early? Advantages to going the day of arrival would be that I could have my driver take me to the train station and have it all accomplished. I do not understand all the train connections so I need some advice in that area as well. We are talking about arrival on April 20.
Look on the website
Until 9:00 p.m. You will have about 2 trains per hour to Rouen, from Saint-Lazare station in Paris
There is a direct train departing the Paris St Lazare station departing at 3:40p arriving in Rouen at 4:57p.
What timetable or schedule do you consult?
The SNCF site is listed above; it's the big operator of inter-city trains. Or you can see the evaluations of the Rome to Rio site.
Rome to Rio is not very reliable. Stick with SNCF. The link above will give you timetables...but won't let you buy tickets (don't ask why). To buy, you need to go to another website called "SNCF Connect"... Or you could do so at the station on a ticket machine. It costs a bit more, but Paris to Rouen is short so even a full fare bought in the spot is less than €25 if I remember correctly.
