getting from Paris Metro to Orly

Can one of you seasoned travelers tell me how to do this. I am planning to take the RER train. Never been to Orly and I left my Risk Steves guide at home and kind of lost without it when it comes to things like this. I am having trouble visualizing my route based on directions I see online. I am departing from the Porte Maillot metro stop. Thanks.

Wikipedia says:
Orly Airport is connected to the RER B train line at Antony train station by the Orlyval automatic shuttle. Orlyval is free to use between the two Orly terminals (west and south), however it costs 9,30 € between Antony and Orly Airport.
A shuttle connects Orly Airport to the RER C train at Pont de Rungis – Aéroport d'Orly.

If there is more than one of you and definitely if there are 3 or more of you, take a taxi. It is only 30 Euro from the left bank and 35 from the right. Public transport is awkward and annoying to Orly and oddly more expensive than to CDG which is much further out. You transfer to the overpriced 'Orlyval' at Anthony.

Charlie,

The last route suggested in the previous reply will probably be the quickest, as it isn't affected by traffic. I've done the trip using the RER "B" and OrlyVal in the opposite direction and it's very easy.

Line C to Pont de Rungis has fewest changes, if you'd rather that than the fastest route
