I read on US US State Department site that we must show a negative test taken within last 3 days to board our US bound flight and/or enter back to US. Anyone come home recently and know the process and what is required real-world??? Are there places in Paris to get a test within 3 days of our departure? TIA
After obtaining a pass sanitaire, this is probably the most often asked question, on the forum. Once again, there are probably hundreds of pharmacies in Paris at which you may obtain an Antigen test. There are also numerous sidewalk tents offering the same testing throughout Paris. You can also schedule one at the airport, but it´s so easy to be tested before you go to the airport, why wait?
The official price of an Antigen test is 29€, results are available within 30 minutes. Doctolib has a list of the many, many testing sites just in case you cannot otherwise find one.

thanx, do you know if it is required to travel back home?
Yes, a test is currently required to enter the US. You can find all of the info. on the testing requirements on the CDC's website here:

I just would like to commend those responding for their kind and thoughtful answers.

Yes, the U.S. has required this test since January for entry or re-entry to the United States.
I just got back from France and would like to add a few details. You should bring your smartphone to the pharmacy so that your can register for the test online. The pharmacy will post a QR code that you scan to register for the test (don't panic, there's an English version). It takes a while to fill out the form, and then you have to pay for the test. Finally, you will take the test. The whole process took me about an hour; your mileage may vary.
Also, the US requires an attestation signed by the traveler swearing that the test results was negative. I downloaded the form from a link on my airline's website and printed it out before I left for France. It's likely that your airline can give you a copy to fill out at the gate, but it saves time and stress to fill it out in advance. They collected it at the gate of my flight to the States.

United has an ap for a phone that autofills so you all you do is check a box on the ap for this requirement.
I imagine all major airlines. have something similar to eliminate paper
And just a reminder to the original poster: You should be prepared for the worst/having a "positive" test result and have your Plan B set up ... i.e. know where you're going to stay (a hotel/an apartment) and how you'll get food for the duration of your quarantine.
