Getting around St. Emilion

After spending 4 days in Toulouse, my wife and I have decided to stay in St. Emilion rather than Bordeaux.
We are traveling city to city by train. I understand that the train station in St. Emilion is a good 20 minutes by
foot into town. It may seem naïve, but are there taxis available at the train station to take us into town or must
we call a taxi to bring us into town.

My concern is whether there are taxis serving the town of St. Emilion.

Thank you for your replies.

Weather permitting I would walk it as it is a little over a mile and then if you see a taxi flag it. https://goo.gl/maps/5NDmaEFKNpQbgjH68.

St. Emilion is real popular with English tourists. They even have a jazz festival in summer so.

I do not know if you have seen it but the official tourists information site has all your options.

They even have Tuk Tuk service

I used the tuk-tuk myself to get to just about the highest point in St-Emilion, then I wandered slowly downhill. My guess is that you won't need to summon a taxi, but since you'll have luggage--at least at the time of your initial arrival--I'd want to have some taxi telephone numbers in my pocket for emergency use. More cautious travelers would pre-book a taxi, I'm sure.

I went by car, parked and walked. I camped at Yelloh campground nearby. I don't recall seeing the train station or taxis. If there are taxis, there is usually a taxi stand in front of the train station. I really enjoyed St. Emilion. I thought it had a lot of good sights for a relatively tiny town.

Bordeaux has a nice center but doesn't have very good public transportation.
