For those of you wondering about bridge and public transportation closures, etc., during the Olympics, this may be helpful:
Nice amount of info......BUT, wanted to correct something on that page, the Paris 2024 pass WILL cover trips to CDG and Orly per their official website... https://www.iledefrance-mobilites.fr/en/dossiers/paris-2024-public-transport-pass
If certain stations will be closed (such as Concorde and Tuileries, as suggested by this document), does that mean trains will stop prior to reaching those stations, or will trains simply bypass them? This is important to us, since the recommended route from our Airbnb in Paris to places like the Musée d'Orsay are on the 12 Line that includes Concorde. Thanks.
@ Stephen,
You should still be able to travel north/south on line 12 -- it's just that line 12 trains will go through the closed station without stopping. So let's say that you are getting on somewhere north of Concorde and planning to exit at Assemblée nationale or Solférino, you will be fine. If you use the RATP or CityMapper apps to plan your trip, both route you around any station closures.
The problem you will have is if you have to change to or from line 12 at Concorde (or between / among lines 1, 8 and 12 as of June 17).
So you can pass through on a straight line, but you will not be able to change lines.
@JHK, Thank you very much for that! I was hoping that'd be the case. We could definitely get off at Assemblée Nationale or Solferino, that's exactly what I was thinking.
