I'll be arriving at Gare de Lyon train station from Marseille. What would be the best way to get CDG for a flight? Thank you in advance for your help.
If you’re amenable to public transport, you can take the RER A from the Gare de Lyon to Chatelet Les Halles. Walk across the platform to the RER B which goes directly to CDG.
If you have too much luggage, just exit the station and get in the taxi line.
Consider taking a taxi to CDG.
Just go to the official taxi stand outside the station. There’s a fixed taxi fare to CDG;
€56 for the Right Bank / €65 for the Left Bank.
Gare de Lyon is in the right bank.
There is also public transport to CDG but I’ll let others give you those details since I’ve only taken a taxi to/from CDG.
Enjoy your time in France!
Ten trains a day travel from Marseille to the airport CDG. Just put "aeroport Charles de Gaulle" in the search box instead of Paris and they will pop up.
Thank you for your prompt replies. I have already purchased my train ticket so I can't get one directly to the airport. I think I'll just wait and see how I feel when I get to Gare de Lyon, then decide if I want to take the RER or a cab. Either way I decide at least I have good instructions thanks to your help.
ckiskie,
Is your flight the same day you’ll be traveling from Marseille?
No, I'm spending the night at an airport hotel before an early flight the next day.
Very wise decision!
