Galeries Lafayette and fashion exhibits.

Hi - we just bought tickets to go to Paris for a week in April - arriving Easter weekend (school break). We have been before and this time are hoping to do some things besides the big main sights (although I know we will return to some of our favorites). One of my daughters loves fashion and we would love to see a fashion show at Galeries Lafayette. I looked for tickets on their website but it says none for January 2023 (and no months to click on for after). Does anyone know if it’s like other sights where they only release tickets a few months ahead? Or do they not do the shows during certain times of the year?
I have the YSL museum on my list, looks like they have a special exhibit when we are there. Any other fashion related places that would be fun to see?

Thank you!

(Just ordered the new Rick Steves Paris book and am so excited to start looking through it for ideas for our trip too.)

Catherine, I do recall that Galleries Lafayette did not post its schedule for the fashion show until a month or two before our trip. My then 10 yo granddaughter and I enjoyed the show 5 years ago on April 14, 2017. It truly was one of the highlights of the trip for her - she also LOVED the chocolate crepe purchased from a vendor on our walk to the Tuileries Gardens. Be patient for the fashion show tickets and have fun. We had a great time in Paris.

We also enjoyed learning about perfume at Fragonard. Not sure if they still offer a self-guided tour. There were very pretty perfume bottles and a good history of the art of perfumery. They’ll want you to purchase but we were not pressured

I'm assuming that you have watched "Emily in Paris" on Netflix if you are fashionistas! Another series I enjoyed is a French TV series "Alice in Paris"; she is a foody with perfect "taste", it is now on Amazon Prime. Yet another one I love is the "Paris Agency" on Netflix which is a "reality" show about a real Paris Family that sells luxury homes in Paris and even Castles in France. At least I can travel vicariously. I do Genealogy and was delighted to find French Ancestors in Alsace-Lorraine. Bon Voyage!

Thank you all! I will keep checking for tickets, sounds like they must release them closer to the dates. So many great ideas and recommendations here. I really appreciate all of your help!!

I'm guessing if Lafayette does it, Printemps probably does as well? Or Bon Marche?
