G-7 cab question

Hello, I have been using G-7, the receipt says about 13 euros, but the charge on my credit card is $27 dollars. And thoughts on why this is?

They charge a four-euro fee to reserve a taxi, which goes up to seven euros if you deserve in advance. Did you happen to call to reserve the taxi (or reserve it ahead of time on the app)?

I am not sure what would account for the rest of the difference (besides exchange-rate différences)

To Bob:
G-7 is a prominent taxi company in Paris.

Was the receipt given to you by the driver on his own paper stock or did the receipt come directly from the credit card machine? If the former, you should file a report with the police and a complaint with Taxi G7. If the latter, you need to contact the bank issuing your credit card.

The only add on fees are the dispatch fees 4€/7€ or 4.50€ for each passenger after 4, but any of these should be part of the original charge amount in euros. 13€ should have been less than $15.

I ordered the taxi via the app. I did not take a receipt, but I have an email from G-7 which identifies the fare as 11 for the fare and 2 for the driver with a total charge of 13 euro.

Same exact experience on last week.

What a drag. I am sorry they are somehow overcharging you. And a drag now to have to try to resolve it.

does your card charge you a Foreign Transaction Fee?

Did you pay for "Zen" service? Any indication on the G7 invoice?
When you book a cab in advance, they add 7€ to whatever the meter says. But if demand is high, they make you pay an extra 6€ for "Zen" service.
This would be consistent with the 27 total.

Are you getting the amount from your credit card statement or from a message from your credit card company shortly after making the reservation?
