The Cluny Museum is closed for renovations from March 1 until the middle of July.
This doesn't show if you just look at the Google info. Only on the museum's website. I had been before so didn't check it out. Could have rearranged itinerary had I known. Missed by a 7 minute walk from Luxembourg Gardens. Showed up 2 days later. There was a woman leading a walking tour and she was unaware of the closure as well.

So sorry to know you missed being able to visit the Cluny! Well, let's hope the renovations make it even more enjoyable than it already was.

The Lady and the Unicorn tapestries are on display in Sydney. I hope they will be back at the Cluny before September!

I wanted my sister to see the tapestries. I loved them! Now I don't feel so disappointed if they aren't even there. Guess this goes to show that it is worth looking at a sight's website even if you have been previously.

This is like the person who went to Prague specifically to see The Slav Epic, which is in Asia ... Bummer! Guess I will have to return to Paris after July.

If you watch the Harry Potter movies; you will see, briefly, replicas of the tapestries on the walls in the Griffindor Common Room! :)
