Planning a trip flying into Cdg and departing out of same. Planning on a rental car. Could you suggest towns to visit and overnight along the way to and from? Thanks

There are many interesting sleeps in Burgundy (Vezeley, Beaune, and others), and Lyon is enroute.
How much time do you intend to spend on the road between? Four to seven days sightseeing your way down to the Luberon would be charming.
You should be aware that taking the train to Provence (or flying to Marseilles) would be way, way faster than driving. You could do plenty of driving there. You should also be aware that jet lag is a real thing for most people and can make driving problematic the day of arrival.

We overnighted in Chartres after flying in from the states. Only a one hour drive from cdg. Awesome town see and catch up on jet lag.
