From CDG to Left Bank Hotel

My husband and I will be on an overnight flight arriving at CDG at 09:30. How much will it be to take a taxi to our hotel on the Left bank. The hotel is on rue Delambre. Is it very complicated to take the train/metro, or should we just take a taxi? Thanks in advance!

Taxis have fixed fares, 65€ to rue Delambre. Do not accept rides from clandestine drivers soliciting from within the terminals. Drivers are not tipped.

If you want to take the RER B/métro, exit at Denfert-Rochereau, connect to métro 4, exit at Vavin. Keep your tickets until exiting Vavin - 11.80€.

Follow the signs/blue dots on the floor to the official Paris taxi line. it's the only way to go. The rate is fixed. You've just flown overnight so make it as easy as possible on yourself and go with direct arrival to your hotel.

If you need a taxi at any other time while in Paris, use the G7 taxi app for the official Paris taxi. But at CDG you only need to get in the quick moving taxi line. And ignore anyone trying to lure you away with an offer to assist you to their taxi as you walk to the line.

I would take taxi after an overnight flight. If you really want to take the RER, please be sure to be pickpocket proof with your ID, passport, credit cards etc. in a money belt or some other similar thing. Also, in addition to the directions above, you could take Line 6 from Denfert Rochereau and exit at Edgar Quinet.

Or ask your hotel which black car service they recommend, that's what we did and it was ultra simple

But costs more than the fixed-rate taxi and doesn't get to your hotel any faster (in fact, probably gets there slower because non-taxis can't use the bus lanes).

Fixed rate from the official taxi stand. Don't let anyone talk you into anything else—either at the airport, or on this forum.

Are you at the Lenox Montparnasse hotel? We were there last year for the RS tour. We just took an official taxi with the fixed price. Sounds like you will be jet lagged after your overnight flight and will have luggage. The official taxi is the way to go. Just follow the signs at the airport and the footprints on the ground. Only use the official taxi.

"Complicated" depends if you are familiar with the metro/ RER in Paris. Whether you can haul your bags up and down stairs. Whether you know basic French to read the signs and know how to navigate a big city public transportation system. Whether you can handle the walk from the bus stop or metro station (VAVIN station) with your luggage and have the geographic senses to figure out which direction to walk. And whether you are awake/alert enough to keep your wits about you while navigating all of this.

Just take the taxi. You won't regret it.

Orlando Cynthia,
Re car service...from what I understand reading previous comments in this forum, you may have a ways to go to meet up with your car service driver. They can't get as close up as a taxi to where you exit the terminal. And he may take longer than a taxi (bus lanes are ok for taxis) plus cost more. Follow the advice to take a taxi from the official taxi line. It moves quickly.
