I have day trips planned for Chateau Chantilly and Fontainebleau both of which require trains from Paris to each location. Any suggestions on how two people can travel there from Paris to Chateau Chantilly and Fontainebleau if there is a train strike? Thanks to all who reply.
There is potential SNCF strike action between 17 April and 2 June, which could affect trains to Château Chantilly. No further details, particularly without your travel dates. No planned RATP strikes which would affect the RER/bus to Fontainebleau.
I am going to Chateau Chantilly on Saturday May 10, 2025, and Fontainebleau on Monday May 12, 2025.
If you're flexible with your train travel scheduling, then try to avoid weekends during that period. But it could be overblown. Travel insurance may be the other option.
I'm heading to Amiens from Paris on April 24, and possibly Reims too, on 26th (Saturday).
Good luck. It will be fine.
The big one is coming! May 7.

May 7th is probably the little one, if at all. SUDrail is a small union.
Small but not tiny. They are the third biggest union overall in the SNCF, with nearly 19% representation (achieved in the November 2022 union elections, which determine governance for the following four years), and they are second among controllers.
Strike notice by another union just given for May 9, 10, 11.
