Due to a change in plans in will not have time to get a French SIM by mail. I’m in London and leave for France tomorrow. It’s a tight trip - Eurail to Paris, can across town to next station, train to Nice arriving late. Very close train connection. Is it possible to buy a French SIM in London?

Buy an UK sim that has no roaming charges - it will be cheaper. The only disadvantage is that French people will be reluctant to call you

No exactly what you want..
I activated a month only Giffgaff SIM ( Goodybag) yesterday and roaming is allowed for the phone calls ,txt and data in the EU
