We will be driving in France (Normandy and Loire V) and wanted a handy guide to road signs we might come across. Anyone have a two-sided guide recommendation we can print out and have in the car in case we come upon a sign and need help... there are tons of online resources but want to have one printed out that is handy so my son can help co-pilot for us. Any other recos for good online prep resources I could read ahead of the trip?
you could just print out one of those pages of signs that you can find by a Google search online, and laminate it to keep in the car.
Make it a project for your son to make up a guide.
I think once you get there, you’ll find the signs pretty easy to understand. Our rental car came with a state of the art GPS system. In addition to navigation, it alerted us to changes in speed limits.
Have a great trip!
Check Rick's driving guide.
Besides tips, there is a list of the road signs.
I would look for a paper map (Michelin or other), many of them will have a legend of road signs with pictures on the back. Even with GPS I would not drive in France without a good paper map. I used Michelin maps all over France.
