French Riviera on 31 Oct and 1 Nov

Hi! I am planning to trip to French Riviera late Oct.

I would like to check if Halloween is celebrated in a big way in the coastal towns like Nice/Cannes/Monaco/Antibes/Menton? I researched and found out that
Valbonne is quite festive during Halloween.

Next, are most shops in the towns/villages closed on 1 Nov 2017 - Wed - All Saints Day?

I'd be surprised if it's celebrated like it is here. I was in Rome for Halloween one year and there was a bar crawl with a lot of people in costume. We joined the group for a while because it looked like fun. Virtually everyone in the group was American.
