French Riviera In 2 days

We are planning a trip for 2025 and need some advice. Traveling from Geneva airport and renting a car end of June for 17 days to visit France and then Ascona Switzerland and beyond before returning to Geneva airport. 4 of us will be leaving Carcassonne, France and heading to French Riviera for two nights on way to Ascona Switzerland for 3 nights. We would like to stay in Menton second night but are unsure where to start and stay first night. Would like to see sandy beach and have good food.Unsure if we should start in Saint Tropez or Port Grimaud or should we be going to Antibes. We know its not a lot of time but we just want to get a taste of area as we are retired and not beach babes. If you have suggestions on what to see in that short of time we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you everyone for your time and help. Jo

Antibes or Villefranche sur Mer would be good options. Villefranche has more of a shale beach, but it has a charming waterfront and great restaurants. We liked Hotel Welcome in Villefranche sur Mer and had a room with a balcony looking at the sea.

everything is so close between Antibes and the Italian border that I wonder why you need two one-nighters rather than being somewhere in the middle like Villefranche or Beaulieu-sur Mer and then west one day and east on the other?

Or just two nights in Menton?
