We are taking our granddaughter & daughter to Paris in 2020, and top on her wish list is to see matches at the French Open. I am doing early research so that I can make a wonderful trip. The French Open occurs at the time we intend to be there. I’ve studied the Roland Garros website, and even got my account. I know tickets come on sale in about March before the Open, and that tickets allow for the attendance on the grounds/outdoor courts of different matches, or stadium tickets it appears in one of the multiple - 3 I think - stadium arenas. It also appears that the gates open each day at different times, such as at 10, 11, 12. What isn’t clear to me is this: Is the ticket good for the full day, regardless of if the ticket is for a stadium seating or grounds (open setting at “outdoor” courts)?
Yes, the ticket is good for the full day -- and if you get a reserved ticket for one of the three stadiums, you would still have access to the outside courts as well.
I've got my ticket for this year's opening Sunday. I logged onto the website 15 minutes before they went on sale and still ended up as #37,475 in the online queue. So if you want to be sure you get tickets, wake up early (4:45 AM for me), brew some coffee, and settle in.
Thank you! I live in Alaska and am 10 hours behind Paris, so it will either be a late night or a night wake up. Thanks again, very helpful.
