French Open 2017

Heading to Day2 and Day3 of the French Open (hoping to see Rafael Nadal) and struggling to find helpful tips for visiting the tournament. Looking for advice for the following:

  1. I have heard that visitors are allowed to bring food & drinks into the grounds. Is there a grocery store supermarket near by the grounds? Does anyone know the food/ drink restrictions? Is alcohol allowed?
  2. Do visitors line up early for entry to the grounds?
  3. Is there free WIFI around the grounds?
  4. Is re-entry allowed?
  5. Is there a practice court schedule?
  6. Best place to eat at the tournament?

Any help/ tips would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to checking the French Open off of my bucket list!

Hi,

We are going next month. I found tons of information on the Roland-Garros website. It's a little buggy tonight but you could try there. There is a video to prepare you for your visit. It is helpful and does list restrictions . . . Very, very quickly, so be prepared to hit the "pause". The video is on YouTube.

Also found info on TripAdvisor. Search "Roland-Garros" and "French Open".

No re-entry.

Just checked my tickets: Restriction on size on water bottles > 1.5 L. No camera lenses >20 cm (who measures lenses in cm). NO selfie sticks.

Enjoy!
