Hi travelers!
Looking to spend 3-4 days in the French countryside before heading to Vienna in May. Any recommendations? I know very little about the area and I'd love to have access to beautiful views, great wine and storybook sites. I have heard good things about Alsace?

Alsace is indeed what makes the most sense if you intend to travel by train to Vienna afterwards. The area between Strasbourg, Colmar and the Vosges mountains is full of vineyards and cute towns and villages.
Good views of the Rhine Valley from Haut-Koenigsbourg east of Sélestat and from Saint-Odile Abbey east of Barr. Both have bus stops, but exploring the country goes better with a car to my opinion.
