I have an iPad ( No cell phone) but hoping to be able to use it at the airport CDG in Paris. Is wifi reliable/ easy? Will I be able to use my iPad to get on internet for FaceTime or Facebook. Or iMessages? Thank you for any information. ( Also same question fro Newark airport in USA) I am leaving in 48 hours. Merci! Lynn
Yes, there is free and reliable wifi at CDG. However, it is free for only a limited period of time, I believe 30 minutes. You can pay for it thereafter.
Thank you so much STEVE! If anyone knows... What about at NEWARK airport? ( I arrive at terminal A and leave from Terminal C on way to take United flight CDG. Free easy reliable there too?)
I looked at Newark's website, and it says "complimentary 30-minute Wi-Fi service is available throughout the terminals"

Be aware that airports are prime pickings for thieves creating fake wifi networks. The name looks right and it works OK, but it's stealing all your info.
Find out the OFFICIAL name for the airport's free wifi (it's probably posted on signs) and stick with that. And considering all the users, don't expect much bandwidth.
