My husband and I have been in Strasbourg for the past three days and the Christmas markets are in full swing. Large crowds of tourists and locals having a good time drinking vin chaud, eating boules de neige, shopping, etc. There is a heavy police and military presence as you would expect at this time. But all is well here and absolutely gorgeous.

Mary, I have not yet vacated my fantasy of nipping over before Christmas to take in a market or two. I wondered what it would be like. Thanks for the report.
