Which is the prettiest drive and easiest for a tourist. To drive from Chaminox to Cannes through Italy or Annecy to Cannes through France?

Respectfully, if you want more replies you need to revise your topic title so it catches people's eye. Try drive from Chamonix or Annecy to Cannes. People knowledgeable about the area will see the town names and reply.

I would drive through France, via Grenoble, Sisteron/Gap/Digne, and the Gorge du Verdon, avoiding both the faster roads and the Mont Blanc Tunnel to Italy. www.viamichelin.com is a useful route planner.
