france no longer processing the early QR applications

We got notice this morning that France is basically throwing out the early applications for QR code and will not be processing them further. People are told to apply using the new system. So if you applied under the initial instructions, be sure you apply on the new on-line form.

Very frustrating. Ours has been in nearly 6 days and is still 'under construction' rather than in the processing process..

There is no English Version you need to use the one at the site. (there is some English here and there).

We got the same notice and applied back on 8/9. Here is the email message we received this morning:

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are sorry to inform you that we are currently receiving a very large number of requests and will not be able to process them all.

We remind you that a negative result of an antigen test taken at a pharmacy, available all over France, grants the user a health pass that is valid for three days (72 hours).

We inform you that a new application is available online for foreign citizens except students : https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr/commencer/passe-sanitaire-etrangers

and following this link for students : https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr/commencer/passe-sanitaire-etudiants

We actually no longer need the passe sanitaire as we returned from Paris 1.5 weeks ago! I mentioned this in other posts but we were able to use our CDC cards at all the major museums & restaurants in Paris as well as Versailles with no issues. On the rare occasion (in a couple of restaurants) where the host or waiter/waitress was not familiar with the CDC card, there was always someone else on hand that knew what it was and accepted them. I'm not sure if the same holds true outside of Paris but in Paris the CDC card worked well.

I already received my QR code (only took 10 hrs), but my travel partner never received his. Just completed his application this morning, so hoping it is processed quickly.

I am assuming I don't need to resubmit since I already have my pass and it works with the government app.

"I did not see an English version.
Any hint on where to go?"

What English there is can be found at the bottom of the opening page. Just scroll down.

I tried submitted this form, but it asks for country of vaccination and United States is not an option. What am I missing?

Thanks

Sue, look on the drop down menu for ETATS-UNIS. That's the USA in French.

Yes, my husband and I both got the email. Specifically, our said:

My new application was submitted 5 days ago. Originally there was a note on the app that said it's taking 4 days to process. Today that note says it's taking 7 days to process.

We shall see. Our big question is can we / should we get a covid test at CDG when we land on Monday, September 6? Ugh!

My question about getting Covid tests at CDG upon arrival is that the website doesn't make it clear if this service is even available. It only seems to be offered for people departing France and even then, you must make an appointment through Doctolib or a similar site. Wondering if anyone has been successful in getting a test at CDG upon arrival?

Does anyone know if I can apply for the pass before I have booked my flight? We are planning to go but the exact date is not yet known to us. And given the health pass seems to take some time for some people we want to get started on that.

I feel like the new system is only meant for you to apply right before you arrive, or in our case the first day when we were in France. Even then it took a week to get the pass/QR code.

@travelinggirl, I agree with Matteric. One of the elements needed to finish your request is a copy of your "ticket", which for most of us is the official airline itinerary. When are you planning to travel?

Day 7 of being "under construction" on the new site.

You can’t. One of the elements that you must provide with your application is a copy of your flight itinerary.

We originally were booked to fly into Geneva and out of Paris and go immediately to Chamonix. I read on another site that people were being rejected for the QR if their point of entry is not France. So I just gave up. At great additional expense I changed my ongoing flight to Paris and dropped the first 10 days of the planned trip.

If we get stuck with COVID in Paris we can ride it out there but we would be truly hosed if we came down with it on a 3 days stop in Annecy or Lyon. I'd cancel the trip but my husband really wants to go and so we are planning to go. Our second applications have been into the new system for a week and are still 'under construction' but at least they allow you to amend them during that phase and we were able to upload the new airline tickets into Paris and change our date of entry.
