France, Neuschwanstein Castle, Amsterdam with two kids in two weeks, too much?

We are looking to go to France in April for two weeks with two girls age 8&9 years old. We would like to fly to Munich and drive to Neuschwanstein Castle then go over to Zurich. Then fly to Amsterdam for a couple of day of sightseeing. Are we doing too much in two weeks?

France, Munich and Neuschwanstein are good choices for a pair of such "young ladies".

But "Munich and drive to Neuschwanstein Castle then go over to Zurich". I take it you are planning to pick up the hire car in Munich, but where are you dropping it off? Zürich is not a good idea to drop the car off because, as you can read on many posts, one-way international car hire usually incurs a very high surcharge. Find out what the actual cost is before you fix on this plan.

Neuschwanstein can be done as a day trip by train from Munich, the nearest station is the town of Füssen.

Why are you going to Zürich, just to catch a plane, or are you planning to stay there? If you are going to Switzerland, better somewhere up in the mountains than a big city (Luzern, Interlaken, Mürren, Grindelwald, ...).

I am confused about your times. Is this Munich > Neuschwanstein > Switzerland > Amsterdam circuit AFTER your 2 weeks in France (if so how much time), or is it part of your two weeks. If it is the latter, this is much too little time. Also you don't say where in France.
The normal rule is never less than 2 nights in one place. With two girls I would say never less than 3-4 nights.

If the total is 2 weeks (13 nights) I would suggest:
5 nights Paris
3 nights Amsterdam (train Paris > Amsterdam)
3 Nights Munich (fly Amsterdam > Munich), Including day trip to Neuschwanstein
2 nights somewhere in the Austrian Alps (nearer to Munich that Switzerland). The girls will be fed up of cities by now, so let them loose in the mountains.
Back to Munich for flight home.

Thank you Chris for your advice that sounds really great ... Just to clarify the original timeline all these(Paris,Munich Neuschwanstine Castle, Amasterdam the back to Paris) in 14 days. We were planing on staying in Paris with family for 4 days then fly to Munich stay overnight pick up a car and drive to Neuschwanstein Castle first thing in the morning. Stay in Fussin a night then return the car in Zonstanz take a train to Zurich just to fly out to Amsterdam for a couple of days (maybe 3 days according to your suggestion) then back to Paris for the rest of the trip since we booked a round trip ticket from Paris.
