I have received suggestions from several of you as I've been planning for this trip and have now put together some thoughts which I would love to hear what you think: Spend 5 nights/4 days on Jersey Channel Island; Day 6 - take the ferry to St. Malo and get rental car, drive to Dinan and check into a place to spend the night, see some of Dinan; Day 7 - Dinan and then drive to Lehon (10 minutes away), see Lehon and then drive to Fougeres (1 hour drive) and check into place to spend the night; See some of Fougeres. Day 8 - Drive to Vitre (30 minutes away) - see Vitre and drive back to Fougeres - more of Fougeres; Day 9 - Drive to Rouen and turn in rental car, check into place to stay; See some of Rouen; Day 10 - Rouen; Day 11 - Rouen; Day 12 - train to Paris, check into hotel; Day 13 - Paris, Day 14 - Fly home (We have been in Paris several times so only planned to spend the one day there this time. What do you think of this itinerary? Thanks.

Are you going to spend a day in St Malo,we enjoyed our stay there and used it as our base for the area,drive the Emerald Coast,very scenic.We liked Dinan and finished our day at the River. Cancale was also very nice and quaint,it is the oyster capital of France.The rest of your itineary looks good but I am not a fan of one night stands.

I agree with you, Mike. I much prefer staying longer in a place and doing day trips from there. I'm not sure how to accomplish that on this trip. We will have 5 nights on Jersey, then the rest of our time we are heading toward our final destination of Paris - and that means 1 night in Dinan, 2 nights in Fougeres, 2 nights in Rouen before we get to Paris. Any ideas? Thanks.
