In Paris early April. Will this date be too early to visit Giverny?
The Monet site opens March 24 this year. I don't know what you should expect in terms of foliage, but I'm sure something will be happening then.
Thank you! I will add this to my itinerary
This website will give you some ideas on what will be blooming in the garden in April: http://giverny.org/gardens/fcm/calendar.htm
Perfect! Thanks for sending me this site, which has all information one could want
It depends on the weather. By late April the bulb flowers in Luxembourg Gardens are dazzlingly wonderful; presumably also the case at Giverny. In early April you would expect the bulb flowers to be beginning with daffodils and crocus well underway and perhaps tulips, but it will depend on the weather that year. They really try to have the place looking great year round. We were there in May as bulb flowers had mostly ended except for Iris and roses and such were not yet in full swing but it was still pretty nice.

They also do continuous plantings in the parks in Paris and with a warm spring you may find lovely displays by April.
