France-Germany

Hi All,

My wife and I are planning our next trip to Europe with our son who is 5. We typically look for good flight deals and then plan our sights around those. For this particular trip we got a great deal on flights that land in Paris and depart again from Munich, Germany. We have about 10-11 days in August.

I was thinking to do Paris for a day (we've been there a lot before), then take a train to Chamonix, stay in Chamonix for a few days and see all the usual sights in Chamonix (including the hike up to see Mt. Blanc) and also do day trips to Geneva, and Annecy.

From there I'm thinking to take a train to either Munich itself, or a town close to Munich and from there rent a car to see all the sights in the area (I'm thinking Mittenwald, Neu Schwanstein, Salzburh, Innsbruck).

I know we'd be skipping right through Switzerland, but we visited Swizterland for a week last year and while we loved it, we want to expand our experience to include more places.

Any advice on other places to include, or if any of the places I mentioned should be avoided, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!
