France/ Geneva in june

So my husband and some friends have booked a trip to climb mt blanc from charmonix , I have booked an air b and b in yvoire. For a week , maybe some friends and family might join me . I will want to fish for sure as fishing is my passion . But would also love to check out art , wine and culture as well . Is there places to rent bikes on the French side of the lake ?? .is there any essential parts by lake Geneva that I should not miss , and should I take a day trip to charmonix ?? Early to mid June is when the trip will be .

Yvoire is a beautiful place. Great choice.
You do need access to a car to properly enjoy the area.

Nyon is worth the boat trip across the lake into Switzerland: the castle is an interesting visit and the old town is attractive.
On the French shore, check out Nernier next to Yvoire, perhaps Evian too. No idea about bikes, sorry.

Annecy and Chamonix are definitely worth a day trip each. In Chamonix, you should try to take the cable car up Aiguille du Midi and wave at your husband and friend climbing up Mont Blanc on the other side of the glaciers ;-). I do hope they are successful; early June can be quite challenging as far as I know (as in, still very snowy).
