France Flights

We are considering flying from Nice to Bordeaux to save transportation time. It is a 2 hour flight. I have checked 1 way flights on this route, and they are around $85 for two, which is very attractive.
Before booking this flight, any experiences flying France airlines that we should be aware of, as this seems like a great solution to getting from Nice to Bordeaux. Any airlines to avoid?
Thanks,

I don't think there's anything special (particularly good or bad) about airlines in France. Air France has a reputation for good food on their long-haul international business class and first class (as you would assume). But at the low end, I think most airlines are about the same. "Cheap."

I assume you are familiar with "low cost airlines" in general and know what to expect (and what you can expect is missing from their experience)? If not, you need to be.

You'll get more specific answers if you provide the name of the airline you're considering...

I love Air France and they now have a short haul airline, I think it's called HOP, but check on it. We took it from Italy last year to our Air France connection in Paris to our home in the US. Great service!

Budget airlines in France, which may not be French airlines, operate like they do most elsewhere. The ticket price depends on how close to take-off the purchase is made. Two weeks ahead could easily by two or three times more expensive than two months ahead. And the first price you see quoted can rise quickly if you want such "extras" as checked luggage and advance seat assignment. Read the airline website rules closely. The big international airlines now operate their domestic flights on mostly the same basis as the low-cost airlines. These bargain lines have changed the business, founded on two things: Cheap price, and short flights so degree of comfort doesn't matter so much.
