France Colmar to AMMERSCHWIHR by bus

Hi all - our first time at Colmar and we have four in the group (including two elderly parents). We cannot drive and planning to stay at AMMERSCHWIHR.

The nearest bus stop to where we stay is: AMMERSCHWIHR - Route du vin, Stop ID: 1003462. On Google Maps, there is 1 bus "intercity bus 68R013".

I have I found a few links but they are telling me different bus timing between Colmar and AMMERSCHWIHR

SOURCE A: https://www.trace-colmar.fr/se-deplacer/horaires/lignes-fluo-68/ - pdf cannot open

SOURCE B: https://www.vcd-freizeitfahrplan.eu/images/fahrplaene/Bus_R13_Colmar-Le_Bonhomme.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com but I see that there are only 07:10 and 09:41 bus times but cannot tell where the bus will go to and whether there are buses going back to AMMERSCHWIHR

SOURCE C: https://busmaps.com/en/france/public_transit-line-68r013-3712805538-3751368131 suggests that at COLMAR GARE SNCF, there are five buses that will stop at AMMERSCHWIHR (timings are 6:45, 7:40, 8:30, 16:10 and 17:55) and at AMMERSCHWIHR - Route du vin, there are two buses that will go to COLMAR GARE SNCF (06:11 and 07:10)

SOURCE D: Google Maps should more timings - eg on a Monday, from AMMERSCHWIHR - Route du vin to Colmar Place de la Gare, there are a few at 941am, 1021am, 117pm, 226pm, 343pm and 543pm

Wondering if anyone can help advice, very much appreciated!

@Windyram

I see, thanks for explaining to me as the links cannot tell!

For I dont know what reasons, I tried using different devices and browers and unfortunately still cannot open the 2 links :( omg

I downloaded the app and can see the bus timing for these few dates but unfortunately it does not show for end June 2026 to early July 2026 (unlike if I can access the links you sent)

I don't know where you are residing, but it probably means the servers don't allow access from your location.
Sorry, can't further help.

Thank you! I am in Singapore. Would you be able to see if the end June - early July 2026 timetable is out? I will try to write to Fluo website too thank you!

@Windyram

Very much thanks!! I downloaded them!!

Putting in here to see if below understanding is right/ if anythinig needs it too:

Horaires valables du 1er septembre 2025 au 31 août 2026” on the Fluo Grand Est timetable means: “Timetable valid from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026.”

Periode de circulation AN vs SC - I checked Chatgpt and it advised that:
- AN = runs all year round
- SC = runs only during school period

Jours de circulation L-V vs L-S - also Chatgpt and it seems to be:
- L-V = Monday to Friday aka weekdays only
- L-S = Monday to Saturday

Under Services - there are different numbers such as 1, 11,13 ,27 - but I dont know what it means!?

Of no importance I think.
It start with 1 (1st bus on this line), 2(2nd bus on this line, in the other direction), ... if there is a gap, you'll find that rank number in the school period column, ...

And you forgot one important translation:
"Les renseignements figurant dans la présente fiche sont donnés sous réserve de modifications qui pourraient avoir été apportées depuis son édition."

(The information contained in this document is subject to change that may been made since its publication)
So don't forget to check again closer to your date!

Yeah, the bus info online’s pretty messy, but you’re on the right track with the 68R013. Google Maps usually has the most accurate times, so I’d trust that over those random PDFs. The buses don’t run super often, mostly morning and late afternoon, so plan around that. And once you’re in Colmar, just swing by the station info desk they can confirm the latest schedule for you.

@windyram and @karl

Thanks much for the great help! Ok will use Google Maps haha I was having some crazy times looking for the different pdf indeed ! Ok will go to the info station too! Was trying to get some certainty of the bus schedules because I needed to make sure there is some bus timings to reach where I was intending to stay in (which I was told bus service is very poor!)

L-V = Monday to Friday aka weekdays only

L-S = Monday to Saturday

The French abbreviations - L is Lundi - Monday; V is Vendredi - Friday, S is Samedi, Saturday.

So, L-V Monday to Friday
L-S Monday to Monday to Saturday

Another important abbreviation would be D - Dimanche, Sunday

by the way, you can edit your profile to indicate where you are, in as much detail as you like or not, which would have helped us understand your point of view a bit...

Ammerschwihr is a near suburb of Colmar, just 10 km from the station.

With 4 including 2 elderly I'd seriously consider a taxi rather than the bus.

@nigel

Thank you for advice, am new to the forum and have since changed (:

Ok! Is there a sense how much one way taxi ride of ~10km will cost ?

I'm sure others with taxi knowledge or the best app will chime in, I unfortunately only can help specifically with taxis is Paris or London.... can't be that much for 10 km I wouldn't have thought

I was in Colmar a couple of weeks ago and took buses on two different days, not to AMMERSCHWIHR, and I used the timetables I got from the Colmar tourist information, but I remember checking with google maps and the google info jibed with the timetables. I think you can rely on google maps. If you stay in Colmar, I would to get the official timetable just to be sure. I didn’t take taxis, but I asked about taxis from Eguisheim in case I missed the last bus and they said it would be about 20 euros. AMMERSCHWIHR is a little farther away, but you can use this as a guide.

@Nigel @Marco

Thanks! I was trying to book a house in Ammerschwihr via Gites de France network and the booking manager was telling me not to stay there as the bus is convenient and since we cant drive. But we love to stay near the vineyard and out of 5 nights, we anticipate arrival day and 2 days out (i.e. 2 days stay-in). Hence its useful to know there are buses and taxi is at doable cost.

I might probably go ahead with the booking! Thanks!
