Hello
I have pre booked a car for Provence
& declined the offer of insurance
As I had already included car rental coverage with my overall travel insurance with Travelx-x
Now I’m not sure if I will have an issue with Budget
Should a problem like an accident occur
I geuss what I’m asking does budget accept travel -x insurance as coverage ?

Your rental is very likely to include some sort of CDW with a deductible (usually €1,000 or so): double check your T&C's. The only car rental company that rents cars without any CDW is Sixt, as far as I know.
Only third party insurance is mandatory in France anyway, so you should be good to go.

I used Budget in 2015 and in 2018 and recall not having any CDW and not having a problem getting the rental. France is easy about this from my experience, rented 3 times total, never a challenge or hard sell about insurance. No questions about what insurance you have either.
The first time I rented it did not say in the reservation that I had CDW, but it turned out to be included anyway.
