You fly out of MRS (Marseille airport) which is exactly the same distance from Aix-en-Provence as it is from Marseille.

From the" itinerary" for the Eastern France tour

Day 14: Tour Over After Breakfast

Breakfast is provided, but there are no group activities today. It's an easy 30-minute bus, shuttle, or taxi ride to the Marseille airport. For those staying longer, your guide will be happy to send you off in the right direction and help with any trip-planning needs. Au revoir et merci!

Unless things have changed, you probably will not be able to get a direct flight to the U.S. Last time we flew from there we had to make a connection in Amsterdam. If you do have a connection there you will probably have to go through a security check point in the area of your gate -- at least we did. So use the loo before going through that check point as there were none after that.

We found the same issue trying to fly out of Marseille. Most flights connected through Madrid, so we opted to take the train back to the Paris airport and spend the night before flying back to the states out of CDG.

We took the TGV back to Paris, spent a couple of days and flew out of CDG. TGV uses a dedicated station, different from the main station.
