Fr trains strike

hi.

our train trip paris to blois on august 8 was just cancelled by oui.sncf. found bus service from gare bercy in paris to blois. it is cheaper but longer by an hour. bus has wifi, WC, reclining seats and power sockets. it didn't say if it has a/c. has anyone tried this route? how does one get to gare bercy?

anyone else aggravated by the train strike?

thanks.

Bercy station can be accessed by the No 6 and No 14 Metro lines. Also the No 24 and No 87 bus routes.

Walking-wise, Bercy station is just a couple of blocks behind Gare de Lyon. Buses do have A/C.

Did they say it was due to a strike? That seems unlikely given the number of trains they still have for sale on that date.

Thank you Sam and Laura. I emailed oui.sncf asking for the reason why it was cancelled. They haven’t responded yet. I just assumed it was because of the strike. Can’t get any rail Europe trips either on this date.

We also have reservations blois to st Jean de luz.

Try Loco2.com. I just checked and they have lots of trains available for that date to your destination from Paris

This is too early for a strike to be declared. Could it be track work?

my mistake. my reservation option expired on 7/12 at 13:56. I assumed the time was EST but now I realize it is france time. so when I went to their website 30 mins before the deadline, it was cancelled. gosh.

the website responded to my query of why it was cancelled and they said it was because the deadline passed. it was then I realized the time difference.

they said there was no more strike, so far, that is.

well, thanks everyone. nice talking to all of you.

well good! Now you just have to reserve (again) and purchase!
