Found better AirBnb In La Marais

I am flexible just like Rick Steves says to be flexible. I moved our Trocadero AirBnb to one in the Le Marais on Rue Charonne a 5 minute walk to Charonne Metro, 13 minute walk to Place de la Nation,20 minute walk to Place De Voges and 45 minutes to Louvre.

It's a nice 1 bedroom and we're paying less. I can't wait to relive our memories from our 1998 stay in the Marais and enjoy dinner on or behind Place Du Voges.

I was able to get a full refund Were paying $820 vs $1018 for 4 nights.

How is this for the location?

Well it's a fine location but the owner is doing some creative marketing. This apartment will be in the 11th arrondissement, which is not the Marais.

It's the neighborhood where I always stay when in Paris. It's an authentic Parisian neighborhood near all sorts of fine cafés and restaurants.

Loads of shopping along the rue du Faubourg St. Antoine and ave. Ledru Rollin. There's the Marché d'Aligre a short walk away.

You'll be spoiled for choice where to eat.

Line 9 of the Métro stops at the Grand Magasins near Opéra, the Champs Elysées and Trocadero just to name a few.

Paris based food writer David Lebovitz lives in that part of the 11th. Check out his website and social media if you want ideas for markets, boulangeries and places to eat.

Kim. Creative?? That's a long boundary for the Marais, even in real estate marketing terms.

It's a good, bustling area, plenty of restaurants, bars and nightclubs, and a nice easy walk to Père Lachaise Cemetery. Only real drawback is that you'll be doing a lot of changing metro lines at République or Nation to get anywhere.

Blockquote Be sure to check that it is a legal rental with the actual Registration number.

be sure to check that someone knew how to make up 13 digit starting with a 75 because that’s all the registration number tells you- that whoever listed the apartment knew to put that number in. You don’t know if it’s been registered because you can’t check. Airbnb does not check. There’s nothing to stop anyone from making up a registration number for you.

This is a much better location than your previous location near Auteuil.
It is not the Marais, but there are tons of restaurants in the vicinity, and it is indeed a bit closer to the city center.

First the Haute-Marais and now the Est-Marais. To be honest, it's probably much better than the Marais nowadays. The Marais is touristic; selfie central. This is much better though further from the center. The description of being in the Marais is a stretch.

Thanks for your replies. Our AirBnb is a 13 minute walk from Charonne Metro, 30 to Republique. We are happy with our choice and it's licensed.

The link posted by "S J" list only the tourist rentals lasting more than 4 months per year (Airbnb accommodation is limited to 120 days per year in Paris)

If you like handling large Excel files (around 140Mb), the complete and detailed list of Airbnbs in Paris can be downloaded from this page (updated June 2023)
