Great article, thanks for sharing.

France is better than the USA on so many things, including this -- our 'Karen' situation is cartoonish by comparison.

This Kevin thing is a thing but it is entirely about class. Many people associate the name Kevin, a name which peaked in 1990-1991 in France, with less privileged backgrounds compared to people with more traditional French names. As a foreign tourist, you are not part of the French class systems and thus not affected.

Hi Balso,

Yes, it was totally in jest. J'aime la France! I do think that things like the Académie Française and the protectionist stance towards their own language that many French have can baffle foreigners though.
