We will be visiting Lyon in early November 2024. Any suggestions for Food Tours or Cooking/Market Classes would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Lucy Vanel and her Plum Lyon include a market visit before her class in the kitchen. I’ve taken several classes with her, and she’s ann excellent chef and teacher. She’s particularly good with bakery recipes. Her Website: https://www.plumlyon.com/
Thank you so much. Unfortunately, Lucy is not offering any classes the days we will be in Lyon. Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately, I don't believe the restaurant where I took my all-day class still offers them.
Gee, that’s unfortunate that Lucy’s schedule doesn’t work with yours. I don’t have another suggestion for Lyon. What if you contacted Plum Lyon? I don’t know if they could offer anything not already on their Website, or what it would cost, if they did.
We are in Lyon now. We took an Afternoon Old Town Food Tour through Viator. It was a little over 3 hours. Our guide Nicholas was great. We went to a sausage/meat shop, cheese shop, dessert, silk shop, and added on an ice cream/glace shop. We had more than expected to eat and the tour guide was delightful. I did not expect to sit down at each business and have the owner talk with us. He also took us around Old Town and showed us some of the traboules. We really enjoyed it.
Thank you so much! We will do this! We also did Viator Food tours in Munich and Geneva and they were wonderful. Thanks for your response!
