We're going on our first trip to Paris. Two 72 year old Anglophiles about to become Francophiles. Booked into a small hotel in St Germain, on Rue du Bac.
Welcome any suggestions on where to eat. Moderate pricing, leaning away from red meat towards fish and veggies, though the occasional ham and cheese is a must. Suggestions?
One place to start might be Paris by Mouth https://parisbymouth.com/ They list restaurants in the city, along with reviews. Also, you can get ideas and even discounts by using the Fork https://www.thefork.com/best-restaurants+paris
If you want relevant recommendations from us, it would help if you gave us a budget in Euros you consider "moderate".

By your description, I assume your hotel is near rue du Bac and St Germain, not far from the Musée d´Orsay. In that area, I might suggest the following restaurants:
Les Climats - extensive Burgundy wine list with a new chef formally with the Hotel Bristol. Emphasis is seafood. This would be a special occasion and probably the best restaurant in the area of rue du Bac if it fits your budget.
Others you might like:
Café Varenne
La Bonne Excuse
Les Antiquaires
Cocorico
One of my favorite lunch places on the Left Bank is Au Babylone on rue Babylone near le Bon Marché just to the south of rue du Bac. Operated by the same family since 1951, lunch specials here run about 15€ or less.
Parisbymouth, as nukesafe suggested, is a great resource as well as David Lebovitz, an American chef that worked for Alice Waters at Chez Panisse in Berkeley...

TripAdvisor.com is very good too.
