Our hotel is one block inland from the Seine very close to the Tuileries metro stop and I'm looking for restaurant recommendations close by. If it makes any difference, my wife and I love good food and wine but tend to gravitate to small family run restaurants/bistros rather than fancy Michelin starred restaurants. We can definitely walk 10-15 mins but closer obviously is better. If there are some awesome boulangeries and cafe's nearby I'd love those recs as well.
Marcus, if you go to yelp.com and search "Dinner" in Paris, France, you can then check the arrondissement that you are interested in. Check the 1st and lots of close-by restaurants come up. Read the reviews with a grain of salt, in general, a place worth going to will have several positive reviews, not just one or two. We have dined at La Regelade Saint Honore at 123 rue Saint-Honoré, just past the Louvre, and enjoyed it very much. There is a very charming smaller place called L' Auberge du Louvre which we have not tried, it has some good and one so-so review, it's at 98 rue Saint-Honoré.
Here's a couple of sites you could check as well:

One more thought/question. I seem to recall there was some discussion on this board of site run by an expat living in Paris with tons of restaurant recommendations. For the life of me I cant remember the name of the site. Does this ring a bell with anyone? It was similar to the "Ron in Rome" site, which is awsome, BTW.
That may be David Lebovitz, one of the sites linked above. He gives Metro stations so you have to look a bit. The Paris by Mouth site lists by arrondissement.
I wonder if you are thinking of Alexander Lobrano's blog, Hungry for Paris? I also love David Lebovitz; he is an expert on pastry and has excellent advice on restaurants. Here are their links:

You must try Angelina's tea room and their famous hot chocolate, though they have food and pastries also. It's on Rue de Rivoli
between the Tuilleries and Concorde Metro stops.
La Cordonnerie on Rue St Roch and Le Souffle on, I believe, rue Tambour are both near your location.
Restaurant Suggestions: Le Souffle, L'Absinthe and L'Ecume St. Honore, all of which are within a 5-10 minute walk of Tuileries Metro Stop.
We have twice eaten at la Cordonnerie near there. It is a small one chef operation with excellent food. The chef is also very helpful in selecting wine by the glass or bottle. If they have the grilled fois gras with cocoa sauce while you are there -- definitely go for it. The people at the next table saw ours for an appetizers and although they were done with their meal ordered it up for dessert. Definitely reserve. There are only about 7 tables or so.
