Looking for recommendation for restaurants/cafes, i'm staying at the 7th Arr. Nothing too fancy (plus i think it's too late to make reservations since i'll be there in about 2 weeks). I'm open to any cuisine, already got Angelina, Le Comptoir de la Gastronomie. Thanks!

Two weeks is too late for only a few places. In the 7th, I like Cafe Constant. A lot of people like Les Cocottes (I do not). Le Casse Noix is a wonderful place on Rue Federation in the 15th. The first time I went there, I walked from Hotel de Londres Eiffel in the 7th in about 15 minutes. It's closed for vacance until August 26th. For 35€, you get a three-course meal and note that you cannot order a la carte. Last time I was there a group of 8 at another table had made a reservation but only four wanted the three courses and the others wanted a single course and the group ended up having to leave after much whining and eye rolling.

Most of my recommendations will be closed for vacation during your stay. Tomy & Co, les Cocottes, and Arnaud Nicolas may be open later in August. You might also try Brasserie Thoumieux and Café Constant. Sometimes you can call just a few days in advance and get reservations and August is probably the time to be flexible.
