Food & culture tours while in Nice or Avignon?

We will be spending several days in both Nice and Avignon in September and would enjoy a food and/or culture tour in one or both cities. Any experience and recommendation will be much appreciated!

Les Petits Farcis is often recommended for something beyond some of the food sampling crawls -- it is more than just a market tour but also a cooking class: Link

In reading posts from awhile back, both tours have been highly recommended.
