Flying to France and then Italy

Where can I find Covid requirements for US citizen flying into France. Also need Covid requirements to fly from France into Italy. We are in France 72 hours or so and then fly to Italy to join our group.

I believe because you are in the Schengen zone, you do not need to test before flying to Italy. Just like you don't need to have a test while flying in the US.

You can check the Sherpa website for additional information.

If I'm incorrect, I would love to know.

US citizens flying to France need to be fully vaccinated which means two shots and the mNRA booster. Once in France I don't think there are requirements to fly to Italy. But your airline site will tell you.

You will need a pass vaccinal in France in order to eat in a restaurant, enter a museum, go to a performance. they are available at pharmacies for 36 Euro and evidence (CDC card) of being fully vaccinated.

Janet has described the basics perfectly.

Just up until a couple of weeks ago, Italy indeed required a negative test to fly to Italy from France (I had to do this first week in January to go to Rome for my birthday). But the Italian government has removed that requirement.

In answer to your question as to where you can find the rules for France, here's the government's official site, available in English.

Scroll down to the “orange areas” tab a little further down past the world map (France categorizes the U.S. as orange currently):
